[CBS News] Emma Watson Is Living The Dream
"Harry Smith chats with Emma Watson about her role as the boy wizard's sidekick in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," the latest installment in the wildly popular film franchise."
[ Wikipedia] Emma Watson
Though after finishing to shoot five movies of Harry Potter series, she is still only seventeen. As she mentioned, she and her co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint have changed so much since their very first movie.
I like her English accent. Can I say it's posh? Sounds very cute to me.
Have anyone tried a teeth-whiting treatment before? Be honest, I have.
I always have a slight inferiority complex of my teeth, because my lower teeth are pretty bad alignment. When I was younger I really wanted to try a teeth-straightening brace treatment and a teeth-whitening, but both treatments were too expensive, so I have never try them before.
I'm sure those treatments are still very costly if you did at a dental clinic. However, in these days in the US, you can try at-home teeth-whitening treatments, such as "Crest Whitestrips" at a reasonable price. I don't think we can buy those products in Japan, except for mail ordering or the Internet shopping.
In my case, I asked one of my American friends to get one when she went back to her hometown. You can buy one around US$20 per package, but in Japan, probably it's more than double price.
I tried "Crest Whitestrips", and it partly worked very well. Whitestrips is like a clear band-aid, so it works only for the surface of teeth. Between adjacent teeth, original color may remain, unfortunately. On the face of my teeth became whiter after two weeks. My husband said that it's unnatural, it's too whiter than real teeth color. I must admit, he was right. Even so, I satisfied with the result.
Anyway, this magic never lasts. Not even long enough than I expected, I would say. Again in my case, it seems gradually go back to the original color about three to four months. That's why I bought another package a couple of months ago. This time though, I switched once a week duration treatment, not a two weeks continuous run. In this way, my teeth will be white enough but not way beyond natural color, I guess.

I must admit that I'm a person who seldom read newspaper on a daily basis. I don't know much about politics or economy. I would say not only ignorant of those subjects, I'm just not interested in them.
How come it's possible if person like me can find interest in topics like that when it comes to English lesson?
Instead, I guess it must be a good idea if I try something more familiar contents to me. Say, "beauty tips"? We can find a lot of articles and videos on CBS News.
Rather than taking "English in News" lesson on EOL constantly, it might be more effective if I do a self-learning, when there's no interesting topics there.
To record video sounds into MP3 format, articles like below, then to import into LingQ.

One of the tutors in EOL is a proffetional dentist. Teaching English is her sideline, therefore, we can take her lessons not every day. Her lessons usually focused on health matters, which are my favorite subjects by the way.

The article above is the topic I signed up for a discussion on EOL yesterday.
It was a kind of interesting, but weird subject to talk about. What I was surprised about this news was, even it must be humiliating experiences to the people we could see on the video clip at CBS site, they and their families were exposing their faces in public.
Hmm, I would say, the world is made up all kinds or various people.
